Acorn Squash
Estimated time: 60 minutes.
What you need:
- Acorn Squash (1)
- Olive oil
- Salt (to taste)
- Black Pepper (to taste)
- Italian Seasoning (to dust all pieces)
- Nutmeg (to taste, a little goes a long way)
Get to it:
- Wash and cut the Acorn Squash in 4 or 5 large pieces. You will need a great (and preferably big) knife for this job.
- Keep the skin on the squash. Remove the internal seeds and "hair" with a spoon.
- Prepare a roasting/baking pan, coat bottom with olive oil.
- Put the pieces with the skin down.
- Season each piece.
- Put in the oven for 30 minutes at 400 F.
- After that, keep cooking in the over for another 20 minutes, but at 350 F.
