Short Ribs on Slow Cooker (Crock-Pot)
Estimated time: 8 hours.
What you need:
- Short Ribs (up to as much as your pot can take, avoiding two layers of meat)
- Olive oil (some prefer other oils for slow cookers, use what you feel comfortable with)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black Pepper
- Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: your favorite dry seasoning mix, to bring in the taste you want (Italian, Cajun, Middle Eastern, Indian, etc)
Get to it:
- Tip: this dish can cook by itself overnight, if you start before going to bed.
- Coat your slow cooker with olive oil, or other substitute oil.
- Season your short ribs on both sides with salt and black pepper. (If using the optional dry season mix, also coat the ribs on it.)
- Arrange the ribs on the slow cooker, avoiding put one on top of the other. (It is OK to have the ribs up, with the bone touching the bottom of the cooker.)
- Add a small splash of Worcestershire sauce on every rib.
- Turn on low heat and set for 8 hours.
